HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Delores 
4B. "Lois"  Graham, who passed away on September 9, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Delores Graham was born to Dovie Leon Conway and 
6James Beadin on September 19, 1947; she married Columbus Graham 
7in 1965; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Delores Graham worked at the United States Post 
9Office  for a number of years; later, she worked for Lord and 
10Taylor on Michigan Avenue; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Delores Graham enjoyed playing the piano, 
12cooking, singing, and spending time with her family; when she 
13was  younger, she worshiped at  the Bethlehem Healing Temple; she 
14later joined Grace Deliverance Tabernacle and then the 
15Apostolic Church of God; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Delores Graham was preceded in death by her 
17father, Albert Cheeks, and her biological father, James Beadin; 
18and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Delores Graham is survived by her husband, 
20Columbus; her children, Eddie, Roger, Deborah, Wayne, and

1Columbus; her brothers, Albert, Ronald, and Donnell; her 
2sister, Alice (Joe); 14 grandchildren; four 
3great-grandchildren; one niece; and numerous relatives and 
4friends; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
6HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
7mourn the passing of Delores B. "Lois" Graham, and extend our 
8sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew 
9and loved her; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to  the family of  Delores Graham as an expression of 
12our deepest sympathy.
