HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to recognize the Central Federal 
4Savings and Loan Association on the occasion of its 125th 
5anniversary; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Central Federal Savings and Loan Association 
7was established in 1892 as the Jungman Building & Loan 
8Association, a small state building and loan association in 
9order to make loans for the purpose of "building and improving 
10homesteads"; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Originally located at 401 W. 18th Street in 
12Chicago, in the 1920s, the Central Federal Savings and Loan 
13Association moved to other locations in the Pilsen area; in 
141934, it  moved to 5339 W. 25th Street in Cicero, at which time 
15it secured a federal charter and became known as the Jungman 
16Federal Savings &  Loan Association; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, In 1939, the Central Federal Savings and Loan 
18Association moved to its current location at 5953 West Cermak 
19Road in Cicero and adopted its current name; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, The Central Federal Savings and Loan Association 
21has maintained its commitment to community banking during its

1125-year history, and has grown its asset size to the level of 
2$177 million; therefore, be it
  
 
  
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
4HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5recognize the Central Federal Savings and Loan Association on 
6its 125th anniversary and we wish them success and prosperity 
7in the future; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the Central Federal Savings and Loan Association 
10as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
