HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the  Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize the Rev. Robert Freeman as he 
4departs Springfield for First United Methodist Church in 
5Urbana; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Rev. Freeman has served as pastor at Kumler and 
7Grace United Methodist churches since 2012; he was named 
8president of the Ministerial Alliance of Springfield and 
9Vicinity on June 1, 2017; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Rev. Freeman served at Grace United Methodist 
11Church from 1988 to 1997; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Rev. Freeman is a Delaware native; he believes 
13race dialogue in Springfield has made huge strides, especially 
14through Conversations on Race, which was formed through the 
15Springfield Race Unity Committee; therefore, be it
  
 

  
16    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
17HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
18recognize the Rev. Robert Freeman as he departs Springfield for 
19First United Methodist Church, and we wish him the best in all 
20his future endeavors; and be it further
