1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of

3 Representatives wish to thank Blouke Carus on his dedication to

4 his community and congratulate him on his 90th birthday; and

5 WHEREAS, Blouke Carus has impacted numerous organizations

6 throughout his life, including the Carus Corporation; the

7 Cricket Magazine Group; LaSalle Peru Township High School;

8 Illinois Valley Community College; the Illinois Valley

9 Symphony Orchestra; the Illinois Valley Youth Symphony; the

10 Hegeler Carus Foundation; OmniArts, formerly known as the Fine

11 Arts Trust; the Canal Corridor Association; International

12 Baccalaureate N.A.; the Illinois Manufacturers Association;

13 the Open Court Publishing Company; the Donors Forum; the

14 Illinois Business Roundtable; the Illinois Pathways

15 Initiative; the Illinois State Board of Education; the Illinois

16 Workforce Investment Board; the Council for a Parliaments of

17 the World's Religions; and Starved Rock Advantage; and

18 WHEREAS, Blouke Carus will celebrate his 90th birthday on

19 June 15, 2017; therefore, be it

20 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE

21 HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

22 thank Blouke Carus on his dedication to his community and

2 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

3 presented to Blouke Carus as a symbol of our respect and

4 esteem.
