| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to
congratulate Shaye Harre for her | ||||||
| 4 | successful career with the Southern Illinois University
(SIU) | ||||||
| 5 | Salukis softball team; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Shaye Harre was born in Nashville, Illinois, the | ||||||
| 7 | daughter of Shelly and Steve
Harre; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Before her softball career at SIU, Shaye Harre | ||||||
| 9 | played softball for the Nashville
Community High School | ||||||
| 10 | Hornets; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Shaye Harre earned All-Conference and All-South | ||||||
| 12 | honors her last three seasons at
Nashville Community High | ||||||
| 13 | School; she was named Metro-East Co-Player of the Year and
| ||||||
| 14 | First-Team All-State the last two years; and | ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Shaye Harre helped the Nashville Hornets win the | ||||||
| 16 | Illinois Class 2A State
Championship her last season with a | ||||||
| 17 | final record of 35 and 4; she has a career batting
average of | ||||||
| 18 | .520 for her time with the Hornets; and | ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, After a successful softball career at Nashville | ||||||
| 20 | Community High School, Shaye Harre
went on to play for the | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | Southern Illinois University Salukis, where she set multiple | ||||||
| 2 | school
records; and | ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Shaye Harre finished her final season at SIU as | ||||||
| 4 | the all-time RBI and doubles
leader with 156 and 49, | ||||||
| 5 | respectively; and | ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Shaye Harre also finished in the top-10 in program | ||||||
| 7 | history with a batting
average of (.332), hits (188), runs | ||||||
| 8 | scored (113), and home runs (31); and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Shaye Harre set the single-season records for | ||||||
| 10 | doubles (18) and walks (56)
during her final season this year | ||||||
| 11 | for the Salukis; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Shaye Harre was named MVP of the 2017 Missouri | ||||||
| 13 | Valley Conference Softball
Tournament; therefore, be it

| 14 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 15 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 16 | congratulate Shaye Harre for her
outstanding achievements | ||||||
| 17 | throughout her softball career as a Nashville Hornet and
as a | ||||||
| 18 | member of the Southern Illinois University Saluki softball | ||||||
| 19 | team; and be it further
| ||||||
| 20 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
