| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of

| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Marshall Jones on being
|
| 4 | | named the 2017 Outstanding Citizen by the Kewanee Chamber of |
| 5 | | Commerce Ambassador Club; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Marshall Jones has been an active citizen of
|
| 7 | | Kewanee for over 35 years; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Marshall Jones has
helped the community through |
| 9 | | various leadership and volunteer
positions with Junior |
| 10 | | Achievement USA, the Rotary Club, the Kewanee Salvation Army |
| 11 | | Board, the Kewanee Area United Way, Freedom House, Project Now, |
| 12 | | and
as a minister and hospice chaplain; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Marshall Jones retired from Verizon after 35 years |
| 14 | | and
is now spending his "golden years" giving back as a |
| 15 | | full-time
community volunteer; he plans on completing another |
| 16 | | degree in information
technology; therefore, be it

| 17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 18 | | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 19 | | wish to
congratulate Marshall Jones on being named the 2017 |
