HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the West Prairie South 
4Elementary School eighth grade boys track and field team on 
5winning the 2017 Illinois Elementary School Association Class A 
6State Championship; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, West Prairie came out strong at the start of the 
8meet and remained at the top throughout; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, West Prairie's victory is impressive since the 
10school has no track; athletes have to find places to run, 
11throw, and jump where and when they can; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, West Prairie had a team total of 31 points, one 
13point better than co-runners-up Neoga and Paris Crestwood; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, West Prairie team members are Braxton Dunn, Briar 
15Friday, Matthew Geltmacher, Dalton Graham, Logan Hilton, A.J. 
16Kerfoot, Regan Weaver, and Dwayne Winking; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, West Prairie is coached by Doug Fisher, Drew 
18Snyder, and Rhonda Huston; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE

1HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
2congratulate the West Prairie South Elementary School eighth 
3grade boys track and field team on winning the 2017 Illinois 
4Elementary School Association Class A State Championship; and 
5be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to West Prairie as an expression of our esteem and
