HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Master Richard Keiss, 
4owner and operator of Draco Martial Arts Academy, on 20 years 
5in business; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS,  Master Keiss has always had a passion for martial 
7arts; it began at a young age when he would read books on the 
8subject and practice moves with his older sister for "fun"; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, After serving in the military, Master Keiss began 
10training under Korean Grand Master I.S. Kim; at the age of 32, 
11after over three years of practice, he earned his black belt; 
12and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Master Keiss opened the first Draco Martial Arts 
14Academy in 1997 in Homewood; soon after, he opened his second 
15school in Dyer, Indiana; over the years, Draco Martial Arts 
16Academy has produced many state champions, Masters, and 
17teachers; and
  
 
  
18    WHEREAS, Master Keiss is dedicated to sharing his 
19self-taught ethics and values to his students; he has made a 
20positive difference in the lives of over 2,000 children, 
21adolescents, and adult students since opening the doors of his

1school; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
3HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
4congratulate Master Richard Keiss, owner and operator of Draco 
5Martial Arts Academy, on 20 years in business, and we wish him 
6many more successful years; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Master Keiss as an expression of our esteem and 
9respect.
