| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Ronald B. Mabe Sr. of |
| 4 | | Springfield as he embarks on his Honor Flight to Washington, |
| 5 | | D.C. on May 23, 2017; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Mabe served in the United States Army |
| 7 | | Company E, 2nd Battalion, 501st Infantry Brigade, 101st |
| 8 | | Airborne Division from October of 1968 to October of 1971; he |
| 9 | | served in Vietnam at Hamburger Hill from April of 1969 through |
| 10 | | April of 1970; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Mabe has received numerous medals, |
| 12 | | including the Bronze Star, the Vietnam Service Medal with three |
| 13 | | Bronze Service Stars, the Combat Infantryman Badge, and the |
| 14 | | Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm; therefore, be it
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 16 | | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 17 | | congratulate Ronald B. Mabe Sr. as he embarks on his Honor |
| 18 | | Flight to Washington, D.C. on May 23, 2017; and be it further
|
| 19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 20 | | presented to Ronald Mabe as an expression of our esteem and |
| 21 | | respect.
