HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate J.L. Hubbard Insurance 
4and Bonds on the occasion of its 60th anniversary; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, J.L. Hubbard was founded in 1957 by James L. 
6Hubbard; it soon began specializing in providing insurance and 
7surety bonds to contractors throughout the State of Illinois; 
8and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, In 1983, James Hubbard sold his interest in the 
10agency to Hertz Associates of Nevada, Iowa; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, In 1994, the management team of Kevin Breheny, 
12Randy Cannady, Ron Koopman, and Linda Hopkins purchased the 
13company and formed Breheny & Associates; in 2002, the agency 
14merged with Soy Capital Bank & Trust; and
  
 
  
15    WHEREAS, The annual insurance premiums written by J.L. 
16Hubbard Insurance and Bonds have grown from $2 million in 1983 
17to over $100 million today; it is one of the largest agencies 
18serving the central and downstate areas of Illinois; therefore, 
19be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE

1HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
2congratulate J.L. Hubbard Insurance and Bonds on its 60th 
3anniversary and we wish them many more successful years; and be

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to J.L. Hubbard Insurance and Bonds as an expression 
7of our esteem and respect.
