| 2 | | WHEREAS, Farm City Days, hosted by the Franklin County Farm |
| 3 | | Bureau Foundation, YourFranklinCounty.com, and the Franklin |
| 4 | | County Farm Bureau, is a family-friendly festival providing |
| 5 | | residents of Franklin County an opportunity to visit and |
| 6 | | understand farming operations and safety; proceeds benefit the |
| 7 | | Franklin County Farm Bureau "Ag in the Classroom" activities; |
| 8 | | and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, The members of the planning committee are a |
| 10 | | diverse group of individuals from the farming, marketing, |
| 11 | | business, and community service industries; everyone shares a |
| 12 | | common goal: To facilitate ongoing cooperation and |
| 13 | | understanding between between city (non agricultural) |
| 14 | | residents and the farming industry; and

| 15 | | WHEREAS, The Farm City Days celebration begins the morning |
| 16 | | of June 10, 2017 in historic Benton with a Farm Machinery |
| 17 | | Parade; therefore, be it

| 18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 19 | | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 20 | | declare June 10, 2017 as Farm City Days; and be it further
