| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
|
| 3 | | Representatives wish to recognize
the Illinois Valley |
| 4 | | Community Hospital Volunteer Escort Service, the Red Coats, in |
| 5 | | observing its 30th anniversary in 2017; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, The Red Coats assist in helping patients to their |
| 7 | | rooms, to medical appointments, wheeling discharged patients, |
| 8 | | making deliveries between hospital departments, and allowing |
| 9 | | hospital staff more time to care for their patients; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, The Red Coats made their first trips to Illinois |
| 11 | | Valley Community Hospital on February 2, 1987 and all 20 of the |
| 12 | | volunteer escorts were men; women have since joined the group |
| 13 | | and today there are 38 Red Coats volunteering and more than 160 |
| 14 | | men and women who have served; therefore, be it
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 16 | | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 17 | | recognize the 30th anniversary of the Illinois Valley Community |
| 18 | | Hospital Volunteers Escort Service, The Red Coats; and be it |
| 19 | | further

| 20 | | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be

| 21 | | presented to Illinois Valley Community Hospital board |
