| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the members of the |
| 4 | | Washington Community High School Wrestling Team, the Panthers, |
| 5 | | on their unbelievably successful 2016-2017 season by bringing |
| 6 | | home their third straight State wrestling trophy and their
|
| 7 | | second straight dual team State Championship with their first |
| 8 | | place finish in the Illinois High School Association Class 2A |
| 9 | | State
meet; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, The Panthers had several State qualifiers, |
| 11 | | placers, and
champions, including freshman Christian Goin |
| 12 | | finishing third at 106 pounds; freshman Zeke Hulet finishing |
| 13 | | sixth at 113 pounds; senior Dack Punke is the State Champion at |
| 14 | | 120
pounds, winning his second consecutive State Championship; |
| 15 | | junior Tyler Delaware was State
runner-up at 126 pounds; junior |
| 16 | | Blaize Punke was State runner-up at 138 pounds; junior Dalton |
| 17 | | Jensen finished fifth at 145 pounds; senior Kyle Goin finished |
| 18 | | third at 152 pounds; senior Jacob
Warner is the State Champion |
| 19 | | at 195 pounds, winning his third consecutive State
|
| 20 | | Championship; and sophomore Jace Punke finished third at 220 |
| 21 | | pounds; and
|
| 22 | | WHEREAS, The Panthers dual team completed their season with |
| 23 | | a record of 24 wins and three losses and qualified
for the Dual |

| 5 | | Crystal Lake Central in the State Quarterfinals 39 to 28, they |
| 6 | | defeated Dixon in the State
Semifinals 59 to 18, and they |
| 7 | | defeated Wauconda in the State Finals 58 to 12; and

| 8 | | WHEREAS, The members of the dual team State roster includes |
