HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Dan Fabrizio on his 
4retirement from the Chicago Fire Department; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dan Fabrizio served with the Chicago Fire 
6Department from September 4, 1979 to
November 24, 2014; he 
7worked his way up as a Firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, 
8retiring as a Battalion Chief; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Dan Fabrizio served as Pension Board Trustee, 
10Investment Chairman, and
Legislative Committee Chairman for 
11the Fireman's Annuity and Benefit Fund of
Chicago from 2004 to 
122014; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Dan Fabrizio worked with Chicago Firefighters 
14Union Local 2 as a
Steward from 1984 to 1993, as Business Agent 
15from 1990 to 1993, and as President from
1993 until 1999; he 
16was elected as Political Action Director for Chicago 
17Firefighters Union
Local 2 in 2008; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Dan Fabrizio helped to pass many pieces of 
19legislation to benefit professional firefighters
and 
20paramedics in Chicago and throughout the State; and

1    WHEREAS, Dan Fabrizio  has faithfully served the Chicago 
2Fire Department in countless ways for many years; his last day 
3will be May 1, 2017; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
5HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6congratulate Dan Fabrizio on his retirement from the Chicago 
7Fire Department and Chicago Firefighters
Union Local 2; and be 
8it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That we thank him for his years of devoted 
10service, wish him well, and
say "Hey Mo"; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to Dan Fabrizio as an expression of our esteem and 
13respect.
