Run/Walk to support the Brian McMillen |

financial support to veterans |
| 6 | | attending Lincoln Land Community
College (LLCC); and

| 7 | | WHEREAS, Brian McMillen was an LLCC alumnus and Illinois |
| 8 | | State
Trooper; he served as a Technical Sergeant in the United |
| 9 | | States Air National
Guard and spent two years of active duty |
| 10 | | with the United States Air Force in
Saudi Arabia and Romania; |
| 11 | | and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Brian McMillen worked in the LLCC Veterans Office
|
| 13 | | as a student; he earned his bachelor's
degree from the |
| 14 | | University of Illinois-Springfield and was
pursuing a master's |
| 15 | | degree when he lost his life in the
line of duty on October 28, |
| 16 | | 2007; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, The LLCC Veterans Club established the Brian
|
| 18 | | McMillen Scholarship to honor his legacy and support veterans |
| 19 | | attending LLCC; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Through the proceeds of this event, LLCC has met

| 21 | | the goal to have a self-sustaining scholarship for veterans in
