HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate  Dr. Ed Hamming on the 
4occasion of his retirement after 35 years of service in private 
5practice in Gurnee, Lake Forest, and Lindenhurst; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Dr. Hamming is a board-certified orthopedic 
7surgeon and member of American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons; 
8and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Dr. Hamming began private practice in Gurnee in 
101981; he joined the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute in 2000; 
11he is currently in practice with seven physicians, including 
12his sons, Dr. David and Dr. Mark Hamming; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Dr. Hamming is a great lover of sports and the 
14outdoors; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Dr. Hamming is a family man and the husband of 44 
16years to Dr. Nancy Hamming; he is the father of three and the 
17grandfather of five; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Dr. Hamming is a valued and highly respected 
19member of the community and a well-loved doctor who has 
20skillfully and compassionately treated generations of family

1members from their infants to their 100 year old grandparents; 
2he is considered irreplaceable by his vast number of patients 
3in Lake County and his patients and staff will miss his smiling 
4face, kind eyes, and skilled hands; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
6HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
7congratulate Dr. Ed Hamming on his retirement and we wish him 
8continued success and happiness in the future; and be it 
9further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to Dr. Hamming as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
