HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate David Johnsen on the 
4occasion of his retirement as Battalion Chief with the 
5Woodridge Fire District in Lisle; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, David Johnsen joined the Woodridge Fire District 
7on August 12, 1991; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, David Johnsen was promoted to Lieutenant on August 
924, 2006, to Captain on October 17, 2012, and to Battalion 
10Chief on July 5, 2015; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, David Johnsen has received numerous awards and 
12commendations, including an Award of Merit for outstanding, 
13distinguished, and meritorious performance in the line of duty; 
14and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, David Johnsen has been awarded numerous company 
16citations for outstanding and meritorious actions towards his 
17fellow man; and
 
18    WHEREAS, David Johnsen and his wife, Tammy, have one son, 
19Nicholas; and

1    WHEREAS, David Johnsen's retirement will be official in 
2February of 2017 as he departs for a new challenge as Fire 
3Chief for the Village of Sussex, Wisconsin; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
5HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6congratulate David Johnsen on his retirement as Battalion Chief 
7of the Woodridge Fire District in Lisle; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to David Johnsen as an expression of our esteem and 
10respect.
