HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Deborah Steil on the 
4occasion of her retirement  as a telecommunicator with the 
5Village of Glenview; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Deborah Steil has served Glenview for 34 years, 
7from January of 1983 to February  of 2017; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Telecommunicators are the first people contacted 
9when emergency assistance is
needed and have the ability to 
10keep calm under pressure and use logical, focused,
and 
11objective thinking even when things are challenging; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Deborah Steil has responded to thousands of 
13emergency calls and has always sent the proper
authorities to 
14resolve the situation; she has a clear head and the ability to 
15multi-task; she cares about the well-being of the officers and 
16firefighters on duty; and
  
 
  
17    WHEREAS, Deborah Steil has always exercised good judgment 
18and has been able  to talk to people in various emotional 
19states; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE

1HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
2congratulate Deborah Steil on her retirement as a 
3telecommunicator with the Village of Glenview and we wish her 
4the best in all her future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to Deborah Steil as an expression of our esteem and 
7respect.
