| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Edward W. Paesel on the |
| 4 | | occasion of his retirement as Executive Director of the South |
| 5 | | Suburban Mayors and Managers Association; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Edward Paesel assumed his position as Executive |
| 7 | | Director in 2000; prior to that, he served as Director of the |
| 8 | | Third Airport Information Clearinghouse from 1989 to 2000, and |
| 9 | | as Mayor of Sauk Village from 1977 to 1989; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Edward Paesel currently serves as Chairman of the |
| 11 | | Land Use Committee and as a member of the Planning Coordinating |
| 12 | | Committee for the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning; he |
| 13 | | also currently serves on the South Suburban Land Bank Board, |
| 14 | | the Chicago Southland Fiber Network Board, and the Cook County |
| 15 | | Economic Development Advisory Committee; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Edward Paesel attended Bloom Township High School |
| 17 | | in Chicago Heights and was elected to its Hall of Fame in 2000; |
| 18 | | he received his bachelor's degree from Illinois State |
| 19 | | University in 1971 and his master's degree in history from |
| 20 | | Illinois State University in 1973; therefore, be it
