AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2601

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2601 on page 1, line 8, by replacing "an apparent life-threatening" with "a brief resolved unexplained"; and

on page 1, line 11, by replacing "an apparent life-threatening" with "a brief resolved unexplained"; and

on page 1, line 13, after "(1)" by inserting the following: "offer to"; and

on page 2, by replacing lines 5 through 8 with the following:

""Brief resolved unexplained event" means an episode that occurs to a well-appearing infant up to 12 months old who experiences an event that lasts less than a minute and then resolves itself during which the infant exhibits one or more of the following symptoms: blue or pale complexion, absent or irregular breathing, marked change in muscle tone, and altered level of responsiveness."; and

on page 2, line 13, by replacing "an apparent life-threatening" with "a brief resolved unexplained"; and

on page 2, line 15, by deleting "an"; and

on page 2, line 16, by replacing "apparent life-threatening" with "a brief resolved unexplained"; and

on page 2, line 17, after "(1)" by inserting the following: "offer to"; and

on page 3, by replacing lines 8 through 11 with the following:
