| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 9-101 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (220 ILCS 5/9-101) (from Ch. 111 2/3, par. 9-101)

| 7 | | Sec. 9-101.
All rates or other charges made, demanded or |
| 8 | | received by any
product or commodity furnished or to be |
| 9 | | furnished or for any service rendered
or to be rendered shall |
| 10 | | be just and
and reasonable. Every unjust or unreasonable
charge |
| 11 | | made, demanded or received for such product or commodity or |
| 12 | | service
is hereby prohibited and declared unlawful. All rules |
| 13 | | and regulations made
by a public utility affecting or |
| 14 | | pertaining to its charges to the public
shall be just and |
| 15 | | reasonable. |
