| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Student Loans to Minors Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 1 as follows:
|

Any student who has been accepted for admission to |
| 8 | | an
institution in the
the State of Illinois approved by the |
| 9 | | State
Superintendent of Public Instruction as an institution of |
| 10 | | higher
education on either the undergraduate or graduate level |
| 11 | | shall be
permitted to execute a legally binding promissory note |
| 12 | | for a loan
necessary to attend or to continue in attendance at |
| 13 | | an institution of
higher education, subject to approval by the |
| 14 | | institution of higher
education attended. |
