    AN ACT concerning civil law.
  
 
    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
 
represented in the General Assembly:
  



 
 

    (30 ILCS 105/5.586 rep.)

    Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended  by repealing 
Section 5.586.
 
    Section 10. The Lawyers' Assistance Program Act is amended  
by changing Section 15 and by adding Section 30 as follows:

    Sec. 15. Transfer of program funds. An amount equal to the 
balance of the money in the Lawyers' Assistance Program
Fund 
as it existed on December 31, 2021 shall be transferred to the 
Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission by June 30, 
2022. As soon as is practical after completion of the 
transfers, the Lawyers' Assistance Program Fund is dissolved. 
Creation of the Lawyers' Assistance Program
Fund. There is 
created in the State treasury the Lawyers' Assistance
Program 
Fund, a special fund to be appropriated solely for the purpose 
of
funding lawyers' assistance programs.

    Sec. 30. Repeal. This Act is repealed on July 1, 2022.

    Section 15. The Lawyers' Assistance Program Act is amended  
by repealing Sections 5, 10, 20, and 25.
 
 
    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January 
1, 2022, except that Section 5 takes effect July 1, 2022.
