AUTHORITY: Implementing Section 4(m) of the Environmental Protection Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1979, ch. 111½, par. 1004(m)), and Section 401 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. 1341), and authorized by Rule 971 of Chapter 3: Water Pollution, of the Pollution Control Board's Rules and Regulations.

SUBPART A: INTRODUCTION
Section 395.101 Purpose
These rules state the procedures and criteria which the Agency will use in certifying, under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act, that activities requiring federal permits of licenses will comply with Sections 301, 302, 303, 306 and 307 of the Clean Water Act.
