Biography
Full-time legislator; social service administrator, community organizer, and policy advocate; B.A. in Justice Studies from Northeastern Illinois University; former founding executive director of the Center for Changing Lives; former board chair of Latin United Community Housing Association and Logan Square Neighborhood Association; daughter of immigrant parents, and the first Guatemalan-American to serve in the Illinois General Assembly.
