AN ACT concerning regulation.
|
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Pharmacy Practice Act is amended by adding |
Section 45 as follows:

(225 ILCS 85/45 new) |
Sec. 45. Pharmaceutical recall notice sign-up. Every |
pharmacy licensed in this State shall post in a conspicuous |
place near the pharmacy counter and drive-up window, a sign |
that includes a QR code informing patients of the ability to |
sign up for medication recalls via the United States Food and |
Drug Administration website. The Department may adopt rules |
necessary to implement this Section.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January |
1, 2027. |
