| 1 | SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The State Board of Education has filed its Report | ||||||
| 3 | on Waivers of School Code Mandates, dated February 20, 2026, | ||||||
| 4 | with the Senate and the House of Representatives as required | ||||||
| 5 | by Section 2-3.25g of the School Code; and | ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, As per 105 ILCS 5/2-3.25g subsection (d), the | ||||||
| 7 | waivers were presented to the General Assembly panel | ||||||
| 8 | consisting of the President of the Senate, the Minority Leader | ||||||
| 9 | of the Senate, Speaker of the House of Representatives, the | ||||||
| 10 | Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, and responses | ||||||
| 11 | requesting further consideration or no further consideration | ||||||
| 12 | were returned to the State Board of Education on or before | ||||||
| 13 | March 5, 2026; and | ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, On March 6, 2026, the State Board of Education | ||||||
| 15 | submitted the Non-Resident Tuition waiver request from Malden | ||||||
| 16 | Community Consolidated School District 84 (W-100-7498) to the | ||||||
| 17 | General Assembly for further consideration; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 18 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 19 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF | ||||||
| 20 | REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that the request made by | ||||||
| 21 | Malden Community Consolidated School District 84 with respect | ||||||
| 22 | to Non-Resident Tuition, identified in the report filed by the | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | State Board of Education as request W-100-7498, is denied. | ||||||
