| 1 | SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Senate Joint Resolution 103 of the 89th General | ||||||
| 3 | Assembly provided in part that "the part of U.S. Route 14 that | ||||||
| 4 | is within the State of Illinois and is currently known as the | ||||||
| 5 | Northwest Highway is designated as the Ronald Reagan Highway"; | ||||||
| 6 | and | ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, The General Assembly chooses to amend that | ||||||
| 8 | designation; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 10 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF | ||||||
| 11 | REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that the part of U.S. Route | ||||||
| 12 | 14 that is within the State of Illinois and is known as the | ||||||
| 13 | Northwest Highway is designated as the Ronald Reagan Highway, | ||||||
| 14 | with the exception of the portion of U.S. Route 14 that lies | ||||||
| 15 | between Broadway and Ridge Avenue (also known as Ridge | ||||||
| 16 | Boulevard); and be it further | ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, That the Illinois Department of Transportation | ||||||
| 18 | is directed to alter or remove signs, markers, or plaques that | ||||||
| 19 | were placed in accordance with Senate Joint Resolution 103 of | ||||||
| 20 | the 89th General Assembly to the extent that the alteration or | ||||||
| 21 | removal is necessary to conform to the amended designation; | ||||||
| 22 | and be it further | ||||||

| 1 | RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to | ||||||
| 2 | the Secretary of the Illinois Department of Transportation. | ||||||
