| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Dedicated law enforcement civilian personnel, | ||||||
| 3 | including community service officers, records staff, animal | ||||||
| 4 | control officers, and others, serve the citizens of Illinois | ||||||
| 5 | to provide them with vital services; and | ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Law enforcement civilian personnel are crucial to | ||||||
| 7 | assisting law enforcement in providing the best public safety | ||||||
| 8 | services; and | ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, The efficiency of the qualified and dedicated | ||||||
| 10 | personnel who staff civilian law enforcement positions are | ||||||
| 11 | substantially influenced by people's attitudes and | ||||||
| 12 | understandings of the importance of the work they perform; and | ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Law enforcement civilian personnel serving the | ||||||
| 14 | State of Illinois exhibit professionalism, efficiency, and | ||||||
| 15 | compassion during the performance of their essential duties; | ||||||
| 16 | therefore, be it | ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 18 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we declare March 24 | ||||||
| 19 | through March 30, 2025 as Civilian Law Enforcement Personnel | ||||||
| 20 | Week in the State of Illinois. | ||||||
